Here we are delighted to offer a one owner from new Ford Mondeo 2.5 Ghia X that has covered just 63000 miles from new with Full Service History, all from its local supplying main dealer.
This is the more desirable 5 speed manual and is finished in Panther Black Metallic with dark grey leather trim. It also has the factory fitted RSA Pack body styling which compliments the mark 2 design very well. This is not a specification that I have come across before and from what I can make out this example is essentially an ST24 with full leather and other goodies.
It drives very well and pulls very strongly throughout the rev range with plenty of torque from the 170 bhp V6 and an overall positive tight feel to the car, as you would expect from such low miles.
The specification is top of the range and includes Air-Con, ABS and Traction Control, Electric Glass Sunroof, Cruise Control, 16" Alloys, Heated Front Seats, Electric Drivers Seat, Airbags, CD Changer, Trip Computer, Heated Front Screen, Leather Steering Wheel and Gearknob, Rear Headrests, Front Fog Lights.
Our preparation was carried out by the main dealer that always looked after it and has included replacing the PAS pipes, front lower arms, front & rear brakes discs and brake pipes and having some welding carried out to the sills and boot floor area. Overall this is a good looking car that drives A1 and is very useable and whilst not currently a show winner could (and perhaps should) be brought up to that level. It is MOT'd to late January 2020. The only advisories were about the front discs which have since been replaced.
It is a great example of a type of car that we will never ever see again; a mid range family saloon with a 6 cylinder petrol engine and manual gearbox! It is highly likely that when Ford cease production of the current Mondeo it will not be replaced, marking the end of an era that started with 5 generations of Cortina and progressed through the Sierra to where we are today. Sierra Cosworth aside petrol V6 models were always seen as the one to aspire to by company car drivers and private owners alike who loved the practicality and entertaining drive that cars like this offer. Sadly we now seem to have moved permanently into a world of bloated SUV's with downsized eco 'friendly' engines appeasing the politicians but not the keen driver. I can see more than a handful of us getting nostalgic about cars like this in the not too distant future..
Viewing of this wonderful car is strongly recomended. Please don't hesitate to get in touch.
